The enactment of Accountants Act No. 15 of 2008 ushered a new dawn in the registration process for new members. ICPAK is now glad to announce the following changes in the registration process to become an accountant:

• It will no longer be necessary to submit a copy of an applicant’s birth certificate (A copy of the National ID will suffice)
• Certification of copies of certificates by a Commissioner of Oaths will no longer be required where an applicant presents original sets of his/her certificates to the Registration department at ICPAK.
• A recommendation letter from a Commissioner of Oaths will no longer be required.
• Where a potential applicant is employed, ICPAK will only require information relating to his/her employment records for the last 3 years down from 5 years.

The following documents will be required as part of the improved registration process

• An application form which may be downloaded from the institute’s website
• Copies of all KASNEB result notifications.
  Copy of KCSE /KCE certificate.
• copy of National ID.
• 2 colored passport photos of the applicant.
• Employment record for the last 3 years (By way of recommendation letters from the employer(s), (If unemployed please specify in the application form).
• a cheque of Kshs. 6,000 payable to ICPAK.
