SUBJECT: NOMINATIONS FOR THE BOARD AND IFAC COMMITTEES IN 2018
The Nominating Committee of IFAC issued the Call for Nominations for Boards and Committees in 2018 on 22nd November 2016 and Independent standard setting boards in 2017 on 1st November 2016. For year 2018, there are 33 vacancies on the Board and committees of IFAC, and 28 vacancies for Independent standard setting boards. The nominations for available positions on the following Boards and Committees with number of vacancies are indicated below:-

The Nominating Committee was looking for highly-qualified nominees who possess knowledge of the subject matters considered by the relevant board or committee, are proficient in English, and are willing to commit between 300 and 600 hours per year, depending on the board or committee. Nominations from the Africa-Middle East and the Latin America-Caribbean regions, as well as BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) are particularly encouraged, as are nominations of female candidates. All vacancies on the independent standard-setting boards are open for nominations by the public, including, for the first time, the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board.
The members wishing to apply to these committees and Boards will be required to complete the questionnaire on the page https://www.icpak.com/ifac-nomination-form/ (member login required) and submit on or before close of business on Sunday, 19th January, 2017 for independent standard setting boards and Monday, 31st January 2017 for IFAC Boards and committees.
