1st Evening Talk
Theme: The power of reaching out

The power of the person you haven’t met is a talk rooted in business networking and relationship building. The talk will provide participants with a range of tools and techniques that will enable them to strategize and plan to achieve their networking and relationship building goals. Participants will be able to network with confidence, build relationships and convert them into business. There is need for professionals to build bridges, relationships and networks in the workplace. The talk will explore networking in the one-to-one and digital contexts. Ultimately, this session has benefits for all the stakeholders in the accounting function and other related service areas.
By the end of this evening talk the participants will have;
- Understood the full scope and benefits of business networking and relationship building as tools to raise the profile of their organizations, their teams and themselves.
- Practical techniques; ethics and etiquette or protocols for networking events and other activities in meeting new people and building stakeholder relationships.
- Insights on “how to work the room” confidently with starting conversations, keeping conversations going and moving on with ease.
- Insights on facilitating networks, relationship and building bridges for colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Addressed mental barriers for effective networking and relationship building

All ICPAK Members, Non ICPAK members & reciprocating professional organizations from private and public sectors.

4.0 National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Reimbursement
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations. Remember that to qualify you should apply to NITA for approval prior to the date of the conference. Further details can be obtained from their website (www.nita.go.ke)
