Brief
Over the last decade, Africa has transitioned greatly and so has the story told about the continent. In many ways, the transformations are both driven by and impactful to professionals and businesses. Indicators of Africa’s colossal economic potential include Africa’s oil (about 12% of the global oil), gold (Africa has 42% of global gold) chromium and platinum metals (Africa has 80-90%) and 60% of Africa is arable land.
Demographically, Africa’s population is majorly composed of the youth, many of them able and willing to work. The youth have not only embraced technology but are actively disrupting the business landscape with inventions. These among other factors has propelled Kenya and wider Africa into the global spotlight and drawn investors to the continent. It is therefore no wonder that professionals are grappling with a dynamic market occasioned by innovations in products, systems and business processes.
In light of this, ICPAK has organized the Branch Annual Summit with the goal of strategically positioning professional accountants for the dynamic market and equipping them to thrive. The summit will delve into topics such as:
