Current trends in Technology Aided Fraud & Challenges presented by technology in combating Fraud Webinar – Recording
Date: 8th December 2022
Time: 04.00pm-06.00pm

The advent of technology in the accounting space has had a significant bearing on how different professionals carry on with their duties. Most organizations have embraced technology to gain a competitive edge in the market and help to achieve efficiency in operations. Technology has also proven to be a great enabler and done the heavy lifting for professional accountants who should now focus on creating and preserving value. The integration of technology into the workspace has also come with its fair share of challenges; organizations are constantly facing the risk of financial loss owing to technology aided fraud.

The fraudsters are ahead of their game, and this creates endless challenges to those charged with safeguarding an organization’s resources. Not only will the fraudsters cause financial and reputational damage, but also conceal their activities which render some operational checks redundant.

This webinar will highlight the recent advancements in technology and the accompanying risk of fraud that it brings. Participants will also be taken through preventive and detective measures in mitigating the occurrence of fraud.
