Overview
With the growth of white-collar crime and budget constraints on law enforcement, many organisations have to utilise internal resources to control fraud. Auditors need to be alert to inadequacies in record keeping as well as to errors and unusual results which could be indicative of fraud, improper or unlawful expenditure, unauthorised operations, and inefficiency.
Every organization faces the risk of financial loss due to fraud, but maintaining an effective audit function can help mitigate that risk. Auditors, both external and internal, must have a thorough knowledge of fraud detection and prevention to effectively fulflil their mission. Additionally, one of the best measures that any organization can take to mitigate the loss associated with fraud is to equip employees with the skills and techniques needed to detect and prevent it. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of fraud and how it can be detected and prevented is essential to maintaining the financial integrity of any organization, large or small. Charges are Kshs. 8, 950 and Kshs. 10, 950 for members and non-members respectively. Associate members will pay Kshs. 6, 950. 14 Structured CPD Hours will be awarded to members in attendance. The training will take place at Sunshine Hotel, Kericho.
