OVERVIEW
ICPAK continues to play an important role in promoting research into the subjects of accountancy and finance in Kenya and beyond. Subsequently, the Institute has organized the Inaugural Research Conference on Accountancy themed “The Evolution of Accountancy Profession to meet the 21st Century Global Challenges”. The Conference shall be held from 10th to 11th December 2020 at Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete, Nairobi.
The Inaugural Research Conference on Accountancy brings together both established and beginner scholars in the area of accountancy from Kenya, Africa and beyond the continent, regulators, practitioners, policymakers, developers of accounting tools and software and users of accounting information to debate contemporary issues affecting the profession in the 21st Century for sustainable development
The Institute invited proposals from researchers, scholars, policy makers and practitioners to submit conference papers addressing topical issues based on the following thematic areas:
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Financial management, auditing and control
- Ethics, accountability and corporate governance
- Taxation and Health Financing
- Technology and innovation
