Overview:

Corruption, money laundering and terrorism financing crimes are very costly. They threaten financial and non-financial institutions. In Kenya, social impacts of corruption and money launderings are being felt virtually in all sectors of the economy.
Professional accountants are considered “gatekeepers” of the financial system and as such they have a huge responsibility to detect and deter corruption, money laundering and terrorism financing activities.
This webinar will delve on the current trends in money laundering, vulnerabilities of accounting and finance professionals. It will focus on the challenges accounting and finance professionals face in their fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism and the regulatory compliance obligations for accountants.

Charges:

Ksh. 1,500.00 for ICPAK Members, partners and reciprocating member bodies.

Continuous Professional Development Units

Members of ICPAK and other reciprocating professional bodies will earn 1.5 Structured CPD points upon successfully attending the webinar.

National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Reimbursement

Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
