Accounting pros urged to aid Covid funds probe.

By Patrick Lang’at

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) yesterday asked its members as well as procurement officers to be at the fore front of providing information to agencies investigating allegations on the theft of Covid-19 funds.

In a press statement, ICPAK also asked parliament to hasten debate on whistleblowers protection Bill to protect officials who come forward.

“Patriotic Kenyans and especially professionals from all spheres, including accountants, procurement officers and others who have credible information should be ready to provide such information to the relevant authorities to facilitate investigations into the loss of public funds.” ICPAK Chairperson Rose Mwaura said yesterday.
