The ICPAK Council on 11 August 2026 held a strategic engagement with the Office of the Controller of Budget (OCOB), the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG), and the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) to strengthen collaboration in advancing accountability and sound public financial management.
The meeting was chaired by ICPAK Vice Chairman, FCPA Benard Amukah, and brought together FCPA Dr. Margaret Nyakango, CBS, Controller of Budget; FCPA Nancy Gathungu, CBS, Auditor-General; and CPA Roble Nuno, CEO of the Commission on Revenue Allocation.
The engagement provided a platform for the institutions to explore opportunities for closer collaboration with the accountancy profession in promoting transparency, prudent management of public resources and enhanced public trust.
Discussions underscored the important role of professional accountants and public finance institutions in strengthening accountability and improving the management of public resources. The engagement also highlighted opportunities for greater cooperation in supporting sound financial reporting, oversight and responsible use of public funds.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders in Kenya’s public financial management ecosystem, reinforcing the shared commitment to promoting integrity, transparency and effective stewardship of public resources.
