This is to inform you that during its 125th Special Council meeting held on 28th July 2025, the Council elected FCPA Bernard Amukah as the Vice Chairman from July 2025 to July 2026.
FCPA Benard Amukah is a distinguished leader and Partner at KPMG East Africa, serving as the Business Consulting Services Leader. He oversees strategy, operations, customer excellence, finance and accounting advisory, sourcing and procurement, and People and Change consultancy services in this capacity. His leadership extends to key markets, including the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Burundi, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
With over two decades of expertise in auditing, forensic accounting and investigations, financial advisory, governance, risk, compliance, and sustainability, FCPA Amukah is recognized for navigating complex financial landscapes. He has led high-impact projects in audit, IFRS implementation, ESG advisory, and business process reengineering for leading organizations across financial services, telecommunications, and manufacturing sectors in multiple African markets.
Committed to professional development, FCPA Amukah has mentored over 150 professionals, emphasising his dedication to advancing excellence in the accounting field. He has held key leadership roles within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His additional roles—Elder, Men’s Leader, Youth Leader, Stewardship, Development, and Investment Leader—demonstrate his strong commitment to service.
