On 14th October 2026, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), led by Chairman CPA Prof. Elizabeth Kalunda, held a consultative meeting with the Governor of Taita Taveta County, H.E. Dr Andrew Mwadime, on areas of mutual interest. The discussions focused on possible collaboration on the Accountability Index and the MSME Scale-Up Programme. They also covered capacity building for county staff, opportunities for CPAs within the county, revenue generation from carbon credits, and joint research initiatives. This engagement is expected to lead to a formal partnership agreement between ICPAK and the County Government of Taita Taveta. The partnership will strengthen the Institute’s commitment to accountability, good governance, and economic growth at the county level.
