Audit quality reviews are a cornerstone of a credible and resilient external audit function. In an environment characterized by heightened regulatory scrutiny, evolving standards, and increasing stakeholder expectations, firms must demonstrate not only compliance, but a sustained commitment to high-quality audit practices. Audit quality reviews provide an independent and structured mechanism for assessing whether engagements are performed in accordance with applicable professional standards, ethical requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

This webinar has been developed in response to the growing need to strengthen audit quality and ensure consistent compliance with professional and regulatory requirements across audit firms. Notably, it has been observed that a number of firms tend to avoid participating in audit quality reviews due to misinformation and misconceptions about their purpose often perceiving them as punitive rather than developmental. This has limited opportunities for firms to benefit from constructive feedback and continuous improvement.
This sensitization forum aims to deepen understanding of the purpose, process, and expectations regarding required remedial actions following the review. It will highlight common findings, share practical guidance on addressing deficiencies, and equip firms with the tools needed to strengthen their systems of quality management. Ultimately, the goal is to support audit firms in delivering high-quality, value-adding audits that enhance trust, uphold professional standards, and contribute to the stability and integrity of the financial ecosystem.
