The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), established under the Accountants Act, Cap. 531, is mandated to regulate the accountancy profession in Kenya and promote and maintain standards of professional competence, practice and ethical conduct.
Pursuant to section 31(9) of the Accountants Act, Cap. 531, the Disciplinary Committee has prepared the Draft Disciplinary Committee Procedure, 2026 (the “Draft Procedure”), which is intended to replace the Disciplinary Committee Procedures, 2022 and provide a clear, fair, transparent and consistent framework for the conduct of disciplinary inquiries by the Disciplinary Committee.
In accordance with Article 10 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and the principles of transparency, accountability and stakeholder engagement, the Institute invites members of the Institute and other interested stakeholders to submit their views and comments on the Draft Procedure.

VIRTUAL STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
To facilitate the stakeholder engagement and discussion on the Draft Procedure, the Committee will host two virtual stakeholder engagement sessions as follows:
i. Friday, 18th September 2026 – 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
ii. Wednesday, 23rd September 2026 – 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The virtual meeting links will be shared separately with stakeholders ahead of the respective sessions.
Participants who attend either of the virtual stakeholder engagement sessions will be awarded two (2) free CPD hours for their participation.
