Money laundering and terrorism financing has potential of destablizing financial and non-financial institutions.As gate-keepers, accountants have a role to play in ongoing public- and private-sector efforts to prevent money laundering. They have to strive to ensure accounting profession is not used in money laundering and terrorism financing.
