Overview
Tax compliance remains integral to the effective use of taxation and supports economic growth. In the current dynamic environment, where taxation frameworks continue to shift due to an influx of amendments and policy changes worldwide, taxpayers and other stakeholders must adapt and comply with these frameworks. This increases the taxpayer’s reliance on effective tax compliance frameworks, given the KRA’s use of technology.
This training program is designed to ensure participants have the knowledge needed to stay up to date with the latest changes in tax compliance and emerging tax issues that may affect businesses and professionals in Kenya. The program will emphasize the application of the law, the latest developments in policies and legislative frameworks, and the tax compliance issues that arise in practice.
The training shall also address current topics in taxation arising from the digitalization of the economy, the use of electronic systems for tax administration, cross-border transactions, transfer pricing audits, and court interpretation of tax laws, among others. Delegates shall be enlightened on how these current topics affect tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution. In this training, topics on global taxation reforms and their application in Kenya shall be considered.
Organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the training seeks to improve the technical expertise of accounting and finance professionals, tax practitioners, and business managers. During the training, participants will gain essential expertise to improve compliance and reduce the risk of penalties and interest charges, while being prepared to address emerging tax risks.
