Pursuant to Article 10 of the Constitution of Kenya, the National Treasury & Economic Planning invites members of the public to submit comments, inputs or memoranda they may have on the draft Accountants (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
The Accountants (Amendment) Bill, 2025 is meant to align the provisions of the Act to review the identified gaps in the Accountants Act. The Bill also seeks to address any inconsistencies on matters such as inclusivity, fair administration of justice with regard to registration and disciplinary procedures and conforming with international standards as recognised by the Constitution and further, to make provisions for efficient discharge of the Accountancy profession ensuring conformity with the Constitution, other legal instruments and international best practices.
PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETINGS SCHEDULE
There shall be a physical consultation meeting for anyone with comments or memorandum on the 17th April 2025 at KICC as from 8:00am – 11:00am and virtual meetings on the above Accountants (Amendment) Bill, 2025 as per the schedule below:
