OVERVIEW
The accountancy profession, like the wider professional landscape, is experiencing rapid and dynamic change, accountants and other professionals must proactively adapt to meet the dynamic needs of their organizations. The accountancy profession will require both seasoned and emerging practitioners to break traditional roles and deliver services that exceed conventional expectations in order to remain relevant.
With the reshaping of the profession, accountants will be required to innovate around existing technology and increase their relevance or run the risk of insignificance, this involves adapting to the shifting demands of organizations; proactively adapting to dynamic reporting needs and challenge stereotypical roles of the profession. The rapid development of technology and the dynamic business atmosphere requires for accountants in the profession to be significantly innovative and up skill as new technologies are currently performing much of the heavy lifting roles for accountants making some roles obsolete.
Skills development is essential for driving technological innovation, utilize new technologies, driving productivity and Offering solutions to global challenges like climate change. This encompasses the creation and implementation of new processes and business models. technological innovation and skills development are mutually reinforcing, investing in both is crucial for building capacity, remaining competitive and promoting entrepreneurship.
The conference is set to be a transformative event for aspiring and early-career professionals. This year’s conference themed Nurturing Professional Excellence through Effective Leadership empowers young leaders by providing a dynamic platform to navigate the changing professional landscape and acquire the essential knowledge and skills for future success. This course is designed for delegates drawn from both the public and private sectors, and particularly young professionals charting different leadership journeys. This conference is open to other emerging leaders from different professions.

NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL TRAINING AUTHORITY (NITA) REIMBURSEMENT
The Institute is registered as a trainer with National Industrial Training Authority. The Institute’s registration number is DIT/TRN/47. Participants who are registered levy contributors should apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. Please note that this is applicable for Kenyan citizens only and subject to NITA regulations.
